
LEITCHFIELD, Ky. (FOX 56) — A fugitive from Louisiana who was reportedly living illegally in the U.S. was arrested on Wednesday in Grayson County on rape and child molestation-related charges.
The U.S. Marshal’s Office asked for help from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) regarding 45-year-old Juan Chavez-Trevizo, originally from Mexico, who was staying at a home on Cave Mill Road in Leitchfield, according to a Facebook post from Aug. 7.

GCSO claimed that he was arrested without incident and charged with:
Second-degree rape—three counts
Molestation of a child under 13—four counts
Molestation of a child with controlled supervision of the victim—four counts
Indecent behavior with a child victim under the age of 13
The post said he was booked into the Grayson County Detention Center while awaiting extradition.

“On behalf of the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Grayson County, we are grateful for our federal partners for removing this individual from our streets and stopping him from potentially perpetrating on other child victims. Our partnership with the US Marshal’s Office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other federal agencies will continue to strengthen as we focus on removing other criminal illegals, drugs, and local criminals from Grayson County’s streets,” wrote Sheriff Norman Chaffins.
Additionally, GCSO announced that two other individuals were arrested at the same location.
