Crews battle two wildfires in northern New Mexico

NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Crews are battling two fires in northern New Mexico. The Tuas Fire is burning a half mile north of Las Tablas. It has grown to six acres. The Hondo Fire is burning 1.5 miles to the northeast and has burned seven acres.

Both fires were caused by lightning. Crews are working to suppress both fires.
