If you want a truly unique toy to play with, this 6x6 amphibious military vehicle might be right up your alley. After all, you don’t see too many of these GMC DUKW rigs around these days. Made towards the end of WWII, it was designed to carry soldiers across bodies of water and keep going, being a critical part of amphibious assaults.
This is the Army’s replacement for the Humvee.
However, if you want it you’ll have to move quickly because the auction for this military vehicle ends soon.
Power comes via a 269ci inline-six with a single downdraft carb mated to a five-speed manual transmission. That’s routed to the rear two aft axles or a three-bladed propeller. A rudder also in the rear allows the driver to steer while navigating through water.

The dealer which has this vehicle listed says the current owner had it stripped and repainted olive drab, which it was originally painted, as well as white military-style letters to help restore it.
There’s a green canvas canopy over the deck, plus there are rope fenders, windshield wipers, side mirrors, and headlights. Plus, a winch is mounted to the rear and pioneer tools are mounted to the hull, in case you need to do a trail recovery.
A backup camera has been added, making maneuvering this long beast much easier. Plus, someone has installed a Horntones FX-550 musical horn system.

As the driver, you can send power to the front axle using a handle. Another one will engage the propeller, so you can move through the water. The steering wheel controls the front wheels as well as the rudder.
Just imagine taking this amphibious truck to shows, parades, or just cruising around town or your local lake.
