CeeDee Lamb got tackled and hit with a penalty on his day off.
The Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver was assessed a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after getting hit by an official on the sidelines. Lamb had been standing on the sideline with his arm in the air to celebrate teammate Jonathan Mingo getting open when the official, who was running with his attention on the play, slammed into his back.

The run-in was called a "foul against an official."
Fortunately for Lamb, the official and everyone with stakes in Lamb, the Pro Bowler appeared to be fine after the impact and was even laughing with his friends on the sideline.
The play also saw Mingo draw a defensive pass interference penalty from Los Angeles Rams cornerback Shaun Jolly for a 51-yard gain. The result was the Cowboys going from 3rd-and-16 at their own 26-yard line to 1st-and-25 at the Rams' 38-yard line.
Lamb was in street clothes because the Cowboys opted to rest pretty much their entire starting offense for their preseason opener. He's coming off another Pro Bowl season with 1,1194 receiving yards and six touchdowns, but he'll be trying to bounce back toward his 1,749-yard peak in 2023.
