Just after her sixteenth birthday, Machine Gun Kelly gave his daughter, Casie Baker, a new Acura TLX sedan. While for most people that would be considered a really nice present for a teenager who just got her license, some are shocked the musician didn’t go with something far more expensive.
BMW is preparing to make a hardcore off-road SUV.
After all, MGK can afford all sorts of things the rest of us commoners might only dream about. He could have gone with a Mercedes G-Wagon, or maybe even a Rolls-Royce or a Bentley.
Instead, in front of his fans in Cleveland, he had the relatively humble Acura rolled out, complete with a red bow, as the perfect present for his teen daughter.
At least, it was perfect enough for Casie to react enthusiastically to the gift. That’s great to see instead of a lack of gratitude.
However, MGK has one rule Casie must follow if she’s to keep the Acura TLX, something which he seems to have drilled into his daughter’s head. When asked, she dutifully responded, “Don’t drive like your dad.”
There’s good reason for that advice: MGK doesn’t have a driver’s license. We’re not entirely clear on why he doesn’t, but on camera he hinted at their being some sort of curse in the family about licenses. He might have just been playing around, but it’s an interesting thing to say out loud.
Casie apparently doesn’t quite have her driver’s license yet, even though she now has a car that’s nicer than what a lot of adults drive. That’s one of the perks of having a father who’s a big celebrity, we suppose.
MGK also revealed that the Acura TLX is Casie’s dream car, something he doesn’t understand. So that’s the real reason why he bought it for her. We wonder what he would’ve done if a Ferrari SF90 were her dream car?
