
JetBlue will begin flying two daily round-trip flights to Boston and New York from Vero Beach starting Dec. 11, according to an Aug. 14 news release.
This marks the second passenger airline flying out of the Treasure Coast and from the Vero Beach Regional Airport. Currently, Breeze Airways is the only commercial airline option for travelers on the Treasure Coast.

JetBlue flights from Vero Beach
Beginning Dec. 11, JetBlue will start offering twice-daily round-trip flights year-round from Vero Beach Regional Airport to New York and Boston. It will fly into these airports:

Boston Logan International Airport
Flights will begin at $69, according to JetBlue's Aug. 14 news release.
Flights out of Vero Beach
Breeze Airways currently operates seven non-stop flights out of the Vero Beach Regional Airport, with one connection flight. Here's where Breeze can take customers:
Hartford, Connecticut
Islip, New York
Newburgh, New York
New Haven, Connecticut
Ogdensburg, New York, with a connection in Washington, D.C.
Providence, Rhode Island
Washington, D.C.
White Plains, New York
With JetBlue and Breeze, Vero Beach travelers will have nine flight destinations to choose from.

Carry-on bags
Carry-on bags must not exceed the size requirements, which are 22 inches by 14 inches by 9 inches, including wheels and handles. One carry-on bag comes included in the ticket fare, space permitting.
A personal item such as a purse, daypack, laptop bag or approved pet carrier is allowed under the seat in front of you.
Checked bags
Checked bags exceeding 62 inches or over 50 pounds will be charged a fee on top of the price to check the bag.
Check up to two bags.
The prices of checked bags vary depending on when you check them and your status within the company, such as being a credit card holder.
The fee for a third checked bag is $125 off-peak or $135 peak. A fourth checked bag (or more) is $150 off-peak or $160 peak.

JetBlue flies from 10 Florida airports, but it will be discontinuing service from one next month.
