New Carbon Tub Enables A Redesigned Cabin

Monterey Car Week is always a festival of the finest new supercars and hypercars, and Hennessey is back this year with another exquisite creation, the one-off Venom F5 Revolution LF, a manual hypercar built by Hennessey's new division for bespoke requests: Maverick. As the name indicates, the car was commissioned for Louis Flory, a Texas-based entrepreneur and collector who "personally specified every bespoke element, from the unique aerodynamic package to the distinctive Cocoa Brown exposed carbon fiber."

The highlight is the all-new carbon fiber tub, which pairs the Venom F5 Revolution drop-top with the new Evolution aerodynamics and performance package, a package that delivers 2,031 horsepower from just a hybrid-free 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8 drivetrain dubbed Fury. The XCell_2 tub promises greater stiffness, a more ergonomic pedal box arrangement in repositioned footwells that have more space for a third pedal, and greater overall passenger comfort, but Hennessey hasn't stopped there, redesigning the entire cabin with inspiration from the world of horology, something Pagani excels at.

Redesigned Cabin Boasts H-Pattern Shifter And Stunning Switchgear

Between the two occupants, an H-pattern open-gated shifter milled from solid aluminum is the focal point of a new center console, above and below which new air vents with 'H' logos and a holster-like receptacle for the car key sit, respectively. You'll need it once the rear wheels gain traction. All of the switches and toggles, as well as the rotary controller, have been reengineered to include lumonous-infill technology (glow-in-the-dark elements, to you and me). Another neat touch is the leather insert in the center console with the commissioning owner's initials. Machined aluminum pedals with laser-etched Hennessey logos are now mounted on the floor, and brown leather upholstery provides the perfect contrast in color and texture. To ensure that the entire experience is as mechanical and purposeful as the rest of the switchgear, even the parking brake lever is designed to provide a bolt-action feel, says Hennessey.

New Aero, And Better Venom F5s For Everyone

The exterior is based on that of the Stealth Series, which means exposed carbon fiber throughout, with River Sand Metallic paint covering most of the LF. A body-color tri-stripe allows onlookers to see that Cocoa Brown tinted carbon fiber up close, but hopefully not too close - the Venom F5 Evolution's new front splitter and reshaped dive planes look like torture for errant ankles. The package also reshapes the fender louvers, while a new rear deck with an integrated lip spoiler is complemented by a taller wing. Naturally, the suspension has also been revised to cope with the greater aerodynamic load that will come at high speeds.

It's a stunning spec, and the choice of a manual transmission makes this all the more special. Building an engine with a four-figure horsepower output is impressive, and setting lap and speed records against your rivals is remarkable, but it's the ability to combine those facets with world-class detail and quality in a one-off hypercar that helps cement Hennessey's reputation as a true purveyor of exotics, not just fast cars.

If you're one of the 32 customers who have already taken delivery of their Venom F5, or you're still waiting for yours, you might be wondering about the fundamental improvements made to the hypercar's performance. Worry not - existing owners can upgrade to Evolution spec, and "all future F5 builds will feature Evolution enhancements as standard." As for cost, who knows, but we're sure Flory loves his bespoke hypercar, and that's the only true measure of value that matters.
