The Porsche Cayenne's new electric model hasn't yet been revealed, but we got a chance to drive prototypes of all three variants—base, S, and Turbo—in Spain.
Remember when the Porsche Cayenne had a two-speed transfer case? The Electric model doesn't have one, or any locking differentials, but the torque of the electric motors and the brake-based interventions make the Cayenne EV plenty off-road capable.

The Cayenne EV will launch in three flavors: base, S, and Turbo.

The Cayenne Turbo EV will pack nearly 1000 horsepower. The base will make about half that, while the S will live somewhere in the middle.

In addition to doing stuff like this, the Cayenne EV will be Porsche's fastest-charging EV to date, according to the company, capable of maxing out 400-kW stations that are easier to find in Europe than in the U.S.

Porsche's trick Active Ride suspension, which blew our minds when it debuted on the new Panamera and Taycan, will make an appearance in the Cayenne EV as well.

Keep going to check out even more pictures of the 2026 Porsche Cayenne EV prototype.

Available wheel sizes on the Cayenne Electric are 20s, 21s, and 22s.

Turbo models have these sideblades that power out of its rear haunches above 37 mph to slightly improve aerodynamics and range.
