International Overdose Awareness Day will be observed at the end of August.

Senate Joint Resolution 9 was introduced on June 6 and designates Aug. 31, 2025, as International Overdose Awareness Day in Delaware. It requires that state flags be flown at half-staff at all state facilities in observance of the day to affirm the importance of overdose awareness, remember those who have died from overdose and acknowledge the grief experienced from losing a loved one to overdose.
