ST. LOUIS – Northbound Interstate 270 was shut down for an extended period of time Thursday morning after a crash in Maryland Heights.
All lanes were closed on northbound I-270 past Olive Boulevard after a crash around 7:20 a.m. The southbound lanes of I-270 were also affected from the crash, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Traffic was diverted onto Olive Boulevard while the highway was closed, MSHP said. Traffic on northbound I-270 reopened around 9 a.m.
Details on the crash causing the highway closure has not yet been released.
