Aug. 28 (UPI) -- A crew of Michigan firefighters were summoned to a home Thursday morning to rescue a deer that had apparently been stuck in a swimming pool all night.
The Lincoln Charter Township Firefighters said on social media that rescuers were called out on a report of a deer in a pool early Thursday morning.
Photos show the deer stuck in the water after apparently attempting to walk out onto the pool's soft cover and falling through.
"The deer was more than likely in the pool all night," the post said.
The deer was safely lifted out of the water and released back into the wild.
