Mitsubishi is expanding its Outlander offerings with an adventure model. The 2025 Outlander Trail Edition jumps on the off-roading trend and gives Mitsubishi shoppers another version of this midsize crossover.

Mostly a graphics package, the Outlander Trail Edition offers blacked-out badging and trim, as well as a set of 18-inch wheels.

Dealer Accessories

Unfortunately for cost-conscious shoppers, some of the most interesting features for the Outlander Trail Edition are locked behind an options list.

Optional are the Thule Caprock roof rack and the set of 235/60R-18 Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT tires available to wrap the Trail Edition’s 18-inch alloy wheels.

Now, because these are dealer-installed accessories, they might be available to Outlander shoppers who don’t want the Trail Edition.

What’s Included

There are some standard exterior enhancements included in the Trail Edition’s order sheet. Those include blacked-out trim and black mirror caps and door handles. There’s also black side protection trim on the lower doors and bumper corners.

The bones of this Trail Edition are effectively the same as the rest of the combustion-only Outlanders.

Based on an Outlander SE S-AWC, this Trail Edition packs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that shoves 181 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque through a CVT. That power travels through Mitsubishi’s Super-All Wheel Control, S-AWC, all-wheel-drive system.

On the inside, your Trail Edition will come with a set of all-weather floor mats and a Trail Edition labeled all-weather cargo mat system.

The Price

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Trail Edition is on sale now and starts at $40,890.

That’s a $4,100 bump over the SE S-AWC that underpins this Trail Edition and a $9,300 premium over the base-edition Outlander ES.
