According to New Mexico court documents, Chavez and Bryan Perello are accused of killing Adam Duarate at his home on Mountain Road NW.
Duarate was seen with Chavez, Perello, and several others at an Albuquerque strip club earlier that night, court documents state.
Investigators believe Perello’s truck was at the casita when Duarte was killed, and they said the shoe prints found at the casita belong to Perello and Chavez’s sneakers.
Chavez is charged with an open count of murder and conspiracy. Perello was also arrested and charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy, tampering with evidence, and shooting a dwelling or occupied building.
