Goya, community partners hand out 20K pounds of food in Washington Heights

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (PIX11) — It was a day of giving, culture, and community as Goya teamed up with community partners to feed hundreds of families in Washington Heights.

It’s all to help kick off the start of the Dominican Day Parade this Sunday.

It’s a team of food, help, and hope in Washington Heights led by Goya. In honor of the Dominican Day Parade, Goya, Catholic Charities, Allianza, and the Hispanic Society of the FDNY rolled up their sleeves to help those in their community most in need.

It’s year-round action to help the community thrive, hosting distributions and giving more than a million dollars in scholarships.
