The top 70 golfers on the PGA tour will compete at the FedEx St. Jude Championship this week, the first playoff event of the season. The FedEx St. Jude Championship will be held once again at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, though this year's course will look a little different, having just completed a lengthy renovation. The top 50 players in the FedEx Cup standings after this week's tournament will advance to next week's BMW Championship at Caves Valley Golf Club in Maryland.

The first round of this week's tournament begins on Thursday. To watch all the action at this week's FedEx St. Jude Championship, you can tune in to coverage on NBC, Golf Channel, ESPN+ and Peacock. Here's what you need to know about this week's schedule, streaming info and tee times.

What is the FedEx Cup?

The FedEx Cup is a season-long event. Golfers accumulate points based on their finish at every major tournament, and at the end of the season, the 70 players with the most points qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which consist of three tournaments:
