Following a 45-minute red flag in the Mission 200 at The Glen Saturday evening, Connor Zilisch defended his first career victory, becoming a two-time winner at a track for the first time. The euphoria of this seventh career win, and fourth in the last five races, was quickly doused when Zilisch slipped while stepping up to the roof of his No. 88 JR Motorsports car from the window ledge of his driver's side window in Victory Lane. His left foot got caught in the window netting, and he went headfirst towards the ground.
The CW Sports moved the camera away as medical professionals treated Zilisch and loaded him onto a backboard to be brought to the infield care center. The CW Sports reported that Zilisch was speaking with the medics, and NBC Sports' Dustin Long has reported that Zilisch sat up in the ambulance.
