
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – If you noticed more sunflowers in your yard or around the state Saturday, there’s a reason for it. Wildlife officials say New Mexico is currently experiencing a super bloom of sunflowers.

The reason for it is due to an unusually wet monsoon season. Capulin Volcano National Monument officials say they get sunflowers every year, but this year, they were blown away.
