The Togg T10X was the No. 1 selling battery-electric vehicle in Turkey in the first half with 17,101 units sold.

The Turkish electric vehicle maker Togg will showcase it’s two-car lineup at the IAA Mobility Munich auto show in September ahead of its launch in Germany, which is one year later than planned.

At the 2024 CES technology show in Las Vegas, Togg said it would start sales in Europe’s largest market before the end of last year.

When asked about the reason for the delay, a company spokesperson declined to address the missed target, saying instead Togg’s goal is “to ensure the best possible conditions for long-term, sustainable success” for the brand.

Battery-electric vehicle sales in Germany dropped sharply in 2024, finishing the year down 27 percent at 381,722 compared with 2023, according to market researcher Dataforce. Demand for BEVs has bounced back strongly in 2025, with half-year sales up 35 percent to a record high of 249,155 for the time period.

Togg was founded in 2018 and currently sells only in its home market. It plans to start selling two compact models -- the T10F fastback sedan and T10X SUV -- in Germany this year.

The automaker will announce at the IAA when order books will open, prices for the cars, technical specifications and when it plans to make its first customer deliveries.

Togg will also use IAA to introduce its mobility ecosystem, Trumore.

The company debuted in Turkey in 2023 and currently has 67,000 T10Xs on the road there. The SUV’s starting price is 1.44 million lira (about $35,000). The T10F starts at 1.54 million lira (about $40,500), according to Turkish media reports.

In early 2024, Togg said it planned to quickly add sales in other European markets, including France, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden. A spokesperson said expansion is still planned but provided no additional details. It reconfirmed its goal of having 1 million vehicles on the road across Turkey and Europe by 2032.

Togg uses a monocoque chassis made of advanced high-strength steel to help protect occupants and the key components such as the battery pack. The company said its vehicles are being assessed by safety agency EuroNCAP, with the aim of achieving top safety ratings of five stars.
