Britney Spears’ Famous Mercedes CLK 350 Is Headed To Auction

Britney Spears’ 2006 Mercedes CLK 350 is headed to auction at no reserve and it’s already creating waves. After all, it’s a vehicle the pop singer used plenty during her notorious years in Los Angeles, so to many the convertible has become a bit of a celebrity itself. However, until now it’s sat in a museum, untouchable for collectors.

While even just a private sale of the Mercedes CLK would cause quite the stir, the fact Britney’s old ride is going to be publicly auctioned online is exciting for many. Even better, it will be offered at no reserve.

We have a funny feeling the German vehicle will have no problem meeting reserve. After all, a number of collectors, including those who aren’t even into cars but do concentrate on Spears and other famous people, will be vying for ownership.

The fact the paparazzi photographed and filmed Britney behind the wheel of this Mercedes so much back in 2007 as the pop singer was mired in controversy. In fact, Volo Museum, which is selling the CLK 350, says it’s the most documented celebrity car of all time, which certainly could be true.

After all, Britney was captured in several controversial episodes while driving this Mercedes, like parking lot incidents, speeding to fast food drive-throughs late at night, and most especially the infamous hit-and-run accident which later resulted in some unpleasant legal consequences for the singer.

Volo Museum acquired the celebrity-owned vehicle back in 2011 and has had it on display since, delighting countless visitors. But it’s now headed to another home, perhaps locked away from the public’s gaze for some time.

Whoever becomes the new owner will have quite the conversation piece in their garage.

The auction listing won’t go live on eBay until August 1.
