It's been just over a year since Akron police officers literally had a cow while responding to a call.

The cow caper happened on June 24, 2024, when numerous motorists called 911 to report a cow wandering along Interstate 76 near the Interstate 77 split.

Officers responded and found a Jersey calf taking a stroll along the busy interstate.

With the help of Akron firefighters and FOCUS Rescue & Rehabilitation in Mogadore, they were able to corral the calf and look for its owner.

Akron police say the calf fell from a vehicle.

The owner never stepped forward.

FOCUS Rescue & Rehabilitation and Akron Police say since the owner has not been identified, a new undisclosed home has been found for the cow, now appropriately named Moodini.

"We are happy to report that she is doing extremely well and is so very loved in her forever home," the animal rehabilitation farm announced on social media.
