Gunther Werks has unveiled its most radical project yet at Monterey Car Week 2025: the F-26, a reimagined Porsche Slantnose that blends obsessive engineering with unapologetic design. Limited to just 26 units and priced from $1.57 million, the F-26 transforms the controversial 1980s styling cue into a carbon-fiber, 1,000-horsepower weapon.

Built on a reinforced Porsche 993 chassis boasting twice the rigidity of stock, the F-26 houses a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter air-cooled flat-six developed with Rothsport Racing. The engine delivers 1,000 horsepower at 7,600 rpm and 750 pound-feet of torque, channeled through a six-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Managing that output required a race-derived cooling system, including a flat fan moving double the airflow of traditional units, a redesigned intercooler plenum, and a 935-inspired exhaust system with external wastegates.
Weight reduction was another priority. Nearly every panel—from doors and diffusers to the engine shroud and even the five-piece floor—is constructed from carbon fiber. Total curb weight comes in at just 2,700 pounds. Handling duties are carried by a bespoke suspension featuring double-wishbones up front, a custom multilink rear, adaptive JRZ dampers, and massive carbon-ceramic brakes. Magnesium Turbo Twist monoblock wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact Force tires complete the package.

Visually, the F-26 is as aggressive as it is functional. The fighter jet-inspired nose eliminates pop-up headlights, while the widebody proportions and oversized 935-style rear wing project race car intent. Inside, the blend of Alcantara, leather, exposed carbon, and a wooden shift knob pays tribute to Porsche’s motorsport heritage, while modern electronics like motorsport-grade ABS and traction control add reassurance.

With only 26 cars scheduled for production, the F-26 is as exclusive as it is extreme. By merging historic Porsche cues with modern engineering, Gunther Werks has created a machine that turns a polarizing design into an undeniable statement of performance.
