A recent prostitution sting in North Augusta netted a single arrest.
Investigators with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office arrested a 32-year-old Brooklyn, New York woman on a prostitution charge for allegedly offering "sexual favors" to customers for money while working at the Travel Bodywork Spa on the 600 block of Martintown Road, according to a news release.
The news release from the sheriff's office did not note the date of the sting operation, but an arrest warrant for the suspect was filed on July 30.
Following an investigation by an undercover "operative", the sheriff's office noted they obtained a search warrant for the spa to confirm complaints. Authorities said they also found money hidden throughout the spa, but didn't say how much.
The sheriff's office said the North Augusta Department of Public Safety and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division assisted in the investigation, which is ongoing.
