
CARROLLTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — An Indiana man was killed in a Friday afternoon crash in Carrollton after he was allegedly hit by another vehicle while driving a motorcycle.
Kentucky State Police said in a news release that troopers with Post 5 in Campbellsburg responded around 3:10 p.m. to the deadly crash on Ladder Lane after being contacted by Carroll County deputies.
State police said 68-year-old Ernie Proffitt of Florence, Indiana, was driving a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by 51-year-old Elvis Soza Alarcon of Carrollton allegedly crossed the center line and hit Proffitt.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner’s Office. More information about the investigation will be released as it becomes available.
